Vibrations. The skies fell apart
with thunder and howling -
and in the turmoil of
sunbursts within clouds
(and rain and rain and rain)
the gates opened, unleashing Hell
upon the stragglers below.

A roar of the ocean in grief
for its earth, this landscape of
my heart suffered in suffocation;
one clenching fist to leave scars,
to leave a waterfall that remains to spill.
While the sky waxed yellow and red,
I was imprisoned on my own -

- bars to steel against the grim,
picking up crumbs of ancientness,
withered in gold and bronze, this
perfect world an illusion destroyed and
the smiles falling from faces; like
darkness picked clean and red
